safe-around-me-press After the publication of their popular Safe Around Me booklet, Southern Women’s and Children’s Services were looking for a new way for people to access the same information. “We thought what else can we put with that to make it more appealing and interactive for our clients, and most people do have iPhones or Android phones.” said Cheryl Nelson SEWACS Executive Officer. From there the idea of an App was born. SEWACS had previously  worked with 2pi software to establish a cloud based IT solution for their various locations across the Southern Health District of NSW. “We had developed a confidence in them, going onto the cloud was a big stretch for us.” said Cheryl, “We were so happy with that and they had the capability to produce an App, it was an obvious solution for us.” Being local was also a big plus, “We can meet face-to-face and have a talk, look at things on the table together, that was really really important.” The Safe Around Me App launched on the iTunes and Google Play stores in mid June this year, “On time, on budget….we’re really happy with it.” said Cheryl, “Working with the team at 2pi software was a real pleasure.” Read more about Safe Around me here, in the Bega District News.
